This Tillandsia Utriculata sits high in a Live Oak at the County Agri-Extension Office where I work a weekly plant clinic.
.Since the 1990s, this native Florida epiphyte has been endangered by a weevil known as Metamasius Callizona. For more information click here.
Until next time!

All these opportunistic little freeloaders. Oak Borers are killing our Missouri Oaks.

LOL I had forgotten about that caption! 🙂
Yes, those dang bugs! At the Agri-Extension Office we always have an eye on the USDA Plant Pest Program info. We get so many calls (and pictures….ewwww!) from residents who need help identifying and eradicating bugs. It sure is a big problem!
I just love this image. So cool!
Thank you!!
Reminds me of all the years I lived in Coral Gables, Florida.
Spectacular plant. Exotic and beautiful.
