In honor of Halloween, a tribute to the orange-yellow beauty of this year’s Super Cosmos! They’ve been growing (and reseeding) since last fall, with the oldest topping out at 7’4″…..wow!
But now it’s time to change the flowerbed and empty the container: browning leaves and stems indicate their season has passed 😦
Still, sunset shows the beauty of these waning plants:
Sleep well, my pretties, I know you’ll be back soon. 🙂
Until next time……
🙂 !Happy Halloween! 🙂

Thank you for including us in your “related articles!” section!
Loved seeing your pictures of the Super Cosmos–can’t believe how tall the plant grows.
As a former Bostonian I was thrilled to include you in the links!
Thanks for coming by and commenting!
Lovely! And we almost did similar posts for Wordless Wednesday AGAIN! Luckily I chose to focus on shadows this week in honor of Halloween… but next week’s image is already picked out and it is of yellow flowers (no orange)! Happy Halloween!

So wierd!!!
I saw your shadow picture just before I posted mine! Loved it!
Will get over there with a proper comment tomw! Today I’ve been very pressed for time!
🙂
they are really hardworking plants 🙂
Wicked! These things are near weedlike, but too pretty to fully stamp out! For everyone I keep around, there’s at least 5 I remove!
boo who–mine did not reseed themselves! But yours are very pretty!
I think it’s the climate. Up north I never got a second year out of them, either!
Thanks for leaving a comment!
Lovely they are a happy flower, I love to watch them grow over time. Nice photo 🙂
Thanks!
I like your description…”happy flower” really fits!
So bright and cheery 🙂
Thank you, Marianne. 🙂
Flowers make me smile. Unfortunately it’s that time of year in Colorado….no more flowers. Thanks for sharing your flowers 🙂
WOW! They look good enough to dry out, roll, and smoke.
They do bear that resemblence! Esp before they flower! hahahahaha!
Great comment!
It is a beauty, not scary at all 🙂
thanks, Claire!
I’d say they’re the color of a fine limoncello, wouldn’t you?
hahahahahaha!
You have limoncello on your brain !! But yes !!! 🙂
The yellow is very colorful and beautiful. 🙂
Thank you! Sunshiney, isn’t it…I think I keep them around more for the color than their gangly shape!
