Happy New Year!!!
Let’s celebrate by taking a look at the Ranchero’s first flowers of 2014.
We’ve been having a very strange “winter” of atypically warm, wet weather and the garden is making a bit of a comeback. Vines that normally rest this time of year are putting out new buds, and tropical perennials are blooming more intensely (and much earlier) than previous winter seasons:

And now, the best of the rest, in collage form:
I hope you enjoyed this first post of 2014, and that you’ll stop in often throughout the new year!
Until next time……

Happy New Year, Karen! What a great view of your blooms this is, from up here in the frozen north! Thank you!
Lovely if a little surreal with snowflakes falling in front of the tropicals. Fun though. 🙂
I hope your 2014 is filled with all things beautiful.
The flowers are beautiful!
The pink Kalanchoe looks like something from an enchanted forest. Gorgeous!
Yes, we have been having a strange “winter” so far here in Florida. Like you I have been enjoying all the flowers that normally should not have been blooming.
Thank you so much for posting your flower photos. They are beautiful indeed.
Just wanted to wish you a very Happy New Year and thank you for being one of my top commenters on Escape from Chaos. May this be a wonderful gardening year for both of us! Thank you again.
You’re so welcome, neighbor! 😉
Right now as I watch Hercules marching across the upper part of the country, I’m SOOOO glad we call ourselves Floridians now! 🙂
Happy New Year!
You and me both! Just sent a sympathy tweet to one of our fellow bloggers who is freezing right now.
Lovely as always, especially the kalanchoe. Have a happy and floriferous 2014!
Love this post… and agree snow flakes on tropical plants does look odd…
Happy New Year. It is so nice to see bright colors.
Your garden is a real treat for the eyes!
As the temperature and snow fall around me, it’s so nice to see some greenery and colorful flowers! Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year will bring in your garden!

Happy Happy New Year! Lovely to see your flowers this morning since it is 1F here in Missouri with an inch of snow on the ground and four more inches coming tomorrow with record low temps! Love the Beach Sunflower and Cosmos!
Lovely pictures, Karen. I wish you a happy and prosperous new year. 🙂
Lucky you : ) No outdoor flowers here this time of year! Happy New Year!
