Monday was a glorious beach day,
and the Aloe arborescens looked especially splendid:
To put these images in context, I pulled back a bit for the next shot. (Note ➡ clicking the photo gives you a bigger version.)
To learn more about A. arborescens, read my post from 11/24/13.

ah, my ‘lil piece of the tropics on a gray and cloudy day in Seattle. Thanks.
Enjoy the beach. Pretty but weird looking plant.
🙂 great orange color! That’s what I like most about them!
Now this one I’m very familiar with…
For me this is very exotic. Right now I’m up in the North of Norway, in the northernmost city in the world surpassing 10.000 inhabitants. It’s about 800 kilometers above the polarcircle (the Arctic one). Last Monday was the first time they saw the sun for more than two months.
Are you in North Cape? I follow a great blog from up that way (http://experiencenorthcape.wordpress.com/) and her pictures of the sun’s return were quite remarkable!
What are you doing up there? Vacation or have you moved?
Enjoy… 🙂
I always love seeing your pictures from VB. We had more snow last night. It is good for the garden, but other wise, I’m not so happy about it.
Unexpectedly, I saw some of these flowering in the Botanic Gardens in Wellington New Zealand. Great photos, Karen.
